Indianapolis is the capital city of Indiana.
Indianapolis is in the center of the state of Indiana on the
White River. Indianapolis was founded in 1820. Early settlers
include Germans, Irish, African Americans, Italians, and
Eastern Europeans. Indianapolis is Indiana's third capital city
and became a capital city in 1825. Indianapolis is the US' 12th
largest city and is full of arts, culture and history. So, what

In Indianapolis, the capitol building is an
impressive building made from Indiana oak, maple, walnut woods,
and limestone. The central dome of the
Indianapolis capitol is made of copper and a rotunda with
glass decorations. The Monument Circle is 284 foot high with a
statue of Victory known as Miss Indiana at the top.

If you are into the museum scenes, then the
Indiana State Museum has many exhibits documenting the history
of Indiana. Inside the Indiana State Museum, there is a
Freetown Village which is a living history museum showing how
the African Americans lived in the 1870s. There are many other
interesting museum in Indianapolis such as the Indiana Medical
History Museum and the Indianapolis Museum of Art which is one
of the oldest art museums in the US. Indianapolis also has one
of the world's largest children's museums
