El Salvador Vacation

An El Salvador vacation can be very interesting for travellers. El Salvador or the Republic of El Salvador is in Central America and it is the smallest country in Central America. Its size is about the size of Massachusetts. There are many interesting vacation spots in El Salvador. You can take all inclusive vacations to El Salvador from the US. Spanish is El Salvador 's official language. El Salvador has more than 20 volcanoes, although most are dormant with blue lakes. The capital city of El Salvador is San Salvador. Other major cities in El Salvador are Acajutla, La Union, Santa Ana, San Miguel, and Sonsonate. Although the spoken language is Spanish, El Salvador adopted the US dollar on January 1, 2001 replacing the old currency, the colones (and the centavos).

El Salvador has three main regions called the Coastal Lowlands (tierra caliente),  the Central Highlands (tierra templada), and the Interior Highlands (tierra fria).
